This game is the result of people wanting a clone of Unreal Tournament/Quake 3 Arena. So a group of Russian developers made their own game engine and the game itself. It is actually somewhat fun to play and the jumping mechanics are easily abuseable.
When compared to videos of other versions, there are differences. The main menu here consists of a tiled animated texture, without the spinning logo. There are are missing maps (especially CTF), textures, character models and the complete lack of the "domination" game mode. Also, the intro with all the lore is missing. This version is heavily cut down, but it is possible to copy files over. What's worse is the lack of access to the console, no saving of replays/demos.
Almost every text (excluding text in textures) has been translated, along with a Lithuanian announcer voice.
The main menu indicates whether directx or opengl are used. DirectX being a red, and OpenGL - blue bar in the top. Custom resolutions are best set in Shine.ini where the main executable is located.
Weirdly enough, the publisher's website (archived) lists both this version and Hired Team: Trial Gold, but in English.
